Metal Guide

Yellow Gold Metal

Yellow gold is a traditionally used metal and are highly used for engagement rings. It is made of pure gold mixed it alloy metals. Easy maintenance and manipulation are some of the plus points of this metal. This metal matches easily with all types of diamonds. 18K gold is usually the purest form of gold used for rings, watches and other wearable jewellery.

White Gold Metal

White gold is made of pure gold and white metals such as nickel, silver and palladium. It is not made of gold entirely but is as durable as gold and can be used for jewellery. The price of this metal depends on the karat used to make the jewellery. Some prefer to use this metal instead of yellow gold as it fairly compliments white diamonds.

Rose Gold Metal

Rose gold is a metal made with a combination of pure gold and copper which ends up changing the colour of the final product. The common ratio used to make rose gold metal is 75% gold and 25% of copper. This metal features flexibility as it can be used for both men and women rings. It is comparatively affordable and is very durable due to use of copper.

Platinum Metal

This metal is rare and the most expensive if compared to other metals. Platinum is highly identical to silver and white gold but is more durable than any of them. Often considered a symbol of prestige (i.e., “platinum” credit cards have greater privileges than “gold” cards). Jewellery made in platinum metal tends to look best with fair and rosy skin tones.
